Abstract
A house for an Astronomer and A House for a Geologist. One projects towards the sky, while the other projects into the earth. The astronomer works in plan, the geologist works in section. The dilemma of plan versus section became the discourse of the project. The house for the astronomer centered on a refracting telescope, imbedded into the foundation of the rotating bridge. The geologist's house begins at the base of the concrete station and works towards the astronomer's house, underground. Spaces for each house developed in a parallel sequential order: ENTRY - SLEEP - BATHE - EAT -WORK
