The first-year design studio introduces students to the study of architecture by investigating the interrelationships of space, structure, and visual composition, and by exploring the syntax of architecture through models and orthographic drawing. Note: from 1961-62 through 1971-72 Architectonics was assigned course numbers 131 (fall) and 132 (spring).
